Koops designed and built a dual
function oven to
preheat vinyl blanks, and
post-heat the completed part
from a mold behind injection
molding process. The oven was
integrated with the material
handling
robot tending the injection
molding
press. The preheating system,
precisely
heated one vinyl blank prior to
insertion into the injection
molding press by the robot. The
post-heating system received the
completed part from the robot
and maintained precise product
temperature for 2 minutes to complete this
insertion molding process.
