Koops designed and built this automated system to locate three critical steering components in hardened steel nests, automatically install four fasteners to a specified torque and verify the presence, and correct connection, of the Brake-Transmission-Interlock-Cable.

The station is equipped to produce right or left hand drive steering column assemblies in less than 55 seconds part to part, a 20% reduction from manual assembly time.
